A Guide to Using Care Circle
Care providers can use the Care Cricle feature to invite family members or friends to connect with their loved one's profile on Storii Family. Once connected, family caregivers can stay up to date with their loved one's care through weekly participation updates and community announcements.
TOP TIP: Invite yourself to be a Connection for your Test Profile. This way, you can experience the same set up process as your family caregivers and explore the profile from their perspective.
Sending an Invitation
Navigate to the participant's profile.
Click on the Care Circle feature.
Choose to connect the family caregiver by phone or email.
We recommend inviting by email, as this ensures the family caregiver receives weekly participation updates and community announcements. These updates cannot currently be sent via SMS.
Once invited you will see that invitation listed as pending until it's accepted.
You can also remove Connections or invitations at any time by clicking the X next to their name.
That's all care providers need to do — StoriiCare will automatically send the invitation to the family caregiver.
For guidance on setting up their account, family caregivers can refer to our Guide on creating a Storii Family account.

How can I communicate with Connections?
There are several ways you can communicate with Connections:
Community Announcements: Ideal for sharing center-wide updates such as upcoming events, holiday schedules, menu highlights, policy updates, newsletters, or general good news. Community Announcements are sent out by email in addition to being posted within Storii Family.
Progress Notes: Sharing Progress Notes with Connections allows care providers to keep a participant’s friends or family updated on their wellbeing, activities, or important moments. By default, all Progress Notes are private to staff. Notes are never automatically shared with Connections unless staff members intentionally choose to share them.
Messages: You can directly message individual or groups of Connections in the Messages feature.
⚠️Currently, only care providers can initiate a conversation. Messages are received within StoriiCare/Storii Family. There are no push notifications.
Automatic Updates - Activity Attendance
An update is posted in Storii Family any time a participant is tagged in activity attendance. Families will be able to see mood and engagement ratings as well as any individual notes recorded for their loved one. They will never see other participant names.
Connections will also receive a Weekly Roundup email containing the activities their loved one attended that week.
How can I tell if Connections are engaging with Storii Family?
To see if family caregivers are engaging with your posts or contributing content to their loved one's profile, check out your Recent Actions.
From the Dashboard, go to Handover.
Filter for Connections.
You'll see a feed of Connection activity (likes, uploads, etc.)
CareCircle: Professionals
From CareCircle, you can also assign specific members of staff as a 'Key Worker' for that Participant. This is purely for documentation sake. It does not impact permissions.
Connections will be able to see this when signed in to their Storii Family profile if they navigate to the Care Circle tab.
