How to Change the Super User

This document outlines the process for an existing Super User to designate a new Super User within the StoriiCare platform. It is essential for maintaining proper access and management of user roles within your organization.


Super User Access Explained

Super User is the highest permission level in StoriiCare and is granted to the Business Admin profile when an account is first created. Unlike the All Access permission level — which is sufficient for the vast majority of management tasks — Super User access controls a small number of account-level settings:

Because Super User is tied to account-level administration rather than day-to-day management, we recommend keeping it assigned to a general Business Admin profile rather than an individual's personal staff profile. This helps avoid complications if roles or personnel change over time. The password to the Business Admin profile can be kept private to one person or shared among leadership, depending on your organisation's preference.

⚠️ For security reasons, Super Users cannot have Direct Login Access (the ability to sign in with their work email address and password). This is another reason why managers opt to have their own StoriiCare profile set to 'All Access' and keep the 'Super User' permission level to the general Admin profile.


Designating a New Super User

Only the current Super User has the authority to designate another individual as a Super User. The profile with Super User access tends to be the Business Admin profile or a manager/director.

If you are the existing Super User and wish to transfer this status, please follow the steps outlined below:

Steps to Designate a New Super User

  1. Navigate to Business Settings.

  2. Click on Staff Roles.

  3. Locate your name and click on the option that says Super User.

  4. Select a new Super User from the drop-down menu.

  5. Click Save to confirm the changes.
