How to Enable Direct Login Access for Staff

By default, staff sign in to StoriiCare using the business's Master Credentials. Direct Login is an alternative access method that allows individual staff members to sign in directly using their own username and password, bypassing the need for Master Credentials entirely.


What is Direct Login?

Direct Login allows staff to access StoriiCare using either their work email address or a pre-generated username, paired with their personal password. This gives individual staff members their own login credentials, independent of the shared business account.


When is Direct Login Used?

Direct Login is particularly useful in the following situations:

  • Staff who work from home and need remote access to StoriiCare

  • Staff accessing StoriiCare on personal devices

  • Care services delivered out in the community or in a participant's home, where on-the-go access is required

For organizations comfortable granting all staff members independent access, Direct Login can be enabled in bulk across all staff profiles at once.


Username Options

There are two username options available for Direct Login:

  • Work Email Address — if a staff member has a work email, this can be used as their username. To add an email address, the staff member should click on their profile picture in the top right-hand corner of the screen, click Settings, navigate to the Account tab, and enter their email address.

  • Pre-Generated Username — each staff profile is automatically assigned a unique pre-generated username. Custom usernames cannot be created at this time. Usernames can be found in two ways:

On the Staff tab, click the 'i' icon next to a staff member's name — clicking the username will automatically copy it to your clipboard

Export a full list of staff usernames by going to Dashboard > Exports > Staff Usernames, which will download a CSV file to your device

If work emails were not added during the staff importing process, they can be added retrospectively in one of two ways: staff can add their own email via their profile settings as described above, or you can contact support@storii.com to request assistance.


How to Enable Direct Login for a Staff Member

Enabling Direct Login requires access to the Staff Records area in Business Settings.

⚠️ By default, only profiles with Super User access can manage this area, though Super Users can grant other staff members access if needed.

  • Go to Business Settings > Staff Records

  • Select the staff member(s) you wish to enable Direct Login for

  • Set Staff Direct Login to Allow by clicking the open door icon

  • Click Save to confirm your changes

Direct Login access can be granted or removed at any time.
