When A Signature Box Locks to the Wrong Staff Member
Occasionally, a signature box on a StoriiCare form may lock to the wrong staff member—often due to someone unintentionally interacting with the box while logged in. This can prevent the correct person from completing their required signature. Fortunately, there’s a straightforward fix: resetting the signature box.
Why a Signature Box May Lock Incorrectly
StoriiCare signature boxes automatically link to the staff member currently logged in when they first click or tap on the box. If a user opens or interacts with the form accidentally or prematurely, the box locks to their account—even if they didn’t sign it.
How to Reset a Signature Box
Only the staff member the box is locked to can reset it. Here’s what to do:
Sign In as the Affected Staff Member:
The staff member who is currently associated with the signature box must log in to StoriiCare.
Open the Form:
Navigate to the specific form entry that contains the incorrect signature assignment.
Edit the Form:
Click the Edit button to enable changes.
Reset the Signature Box:
Locate the locked signature box.
Click Reset icon (arrow) in the corner of the signature box to remove the signature and unlock the box.
Save the Form:
Click Update to confirm the reset and ensure the signature box is now available to the correct staff member.
After Resetting
The signature box will now be unlocked and available for the appropriate staff member to sign.
If necessary, the correct user can now log in, open the form, and complete their signature.
