How to Delete a Progress Note

Edited

There may be occasions when a Progress Note needs to be removed—such as duplicate entries or accidental submissions. StoriiCare allows authorized users to delete Progress Notes, but this action should be performed carefully, as deleted notes cannot be recovered from the front end.

Follow the steps below to delete a Progress Note safely.

Step 1: Open the Progress Notes Feature

  1. From your StoriiCare Dashboard or Participant Profile, click on Progress Notes.

  2. Use filters (optional) to locate the note you want to delete.

Step 2: Select the Note

  1. Scroll through the list of notes to find the correct entry.

  2. Click Edit (bottom-right corner).

⚠️ If you do not see the Edit option, speak to a manager or administrator to update your Permissions.

Step 3: Delete the Note

  1. Look for the Delete option (trash can icon or “Delete” text) at the bottom right corner of the note.

  2. Click Delete.

  3. A confirmation message will appear asking you to verify the deletion.

✔ Confirm Your Action

Click Yes.

⚠️ Warning:

Once deleted, the note is permanently removed from StoriiCare and cannot be recovered. Only delete a note when you are certain it is no longer needed.

Best Practices for Deleting Notes

  • Double-check participant names before deleting notes.

  • Only delete notes that were created in error—otherwise, edit the note instead.

  • Consider exporting or copying the note’s content if it may contain relevant information before deletion.

  • Use deletion sparingly to preserve documentation integrity.
