How to Create Custom Task Types & Categories

Edited

Custom Task Types and Task Categories in StoriiCare help you organize, filter, and report on tasks more effectively.

StoriiCare comes equipped with a default database of tasks. These can be edited or removed as needed. In addition, users can add new task types and categories that suit their operational workflows.

Understanding Task Types vs. Task Categories

  • Task Type – The specific task within a category (e.g., Toileting Support, Care Plan Review, Shower).

  • Task Category – A broad grouping of tasks (e.g., under the category Care Tasks, you might have Medication Round, Vitals Check, Mobility Assistance).

Steps to Create Custom Task Types

  • From your Dashboard, click Tasks.

  • Click the Settings Cog at the top of the page.

2. Add New Task Types

  • On the next page, click + New Type.

  • Enter the name of your new Task Type (e.g., PT Session).

  • Select the appropriate Task Category.
