StoriiCare Glossary of Terms

Welcome to the StoriiCare Glossary, your quick-reference guide to the terms, features, and tools used throughout the StoriiCare platform.

This resource is designed to help staff, administrators, and family Connections better understand the language and functions within the system.

* indicates that this terminology is customizable on StoriiCare. This is important to keep in mind, as that term may be displayed as something else on your account. For example, "Face Sheet" might be "Care Overview" on the account you're using.


Activity Instructions

A collection of templated activity instructions that can be saved to specific Activity Types in order to help facilitate activities. New Activity Instructions can be added, too.


Ad Hoc Activity

A dedicated place to record activity attendance data for unscheduled, ad-hoc activities (i.e. a spontaneous game of cards or a family visit).


Alerts

Associated with Vital Signs. Custom alerts can be set to notify nurses when someone’s temperature is too high, blood pressure is out of range, etc.


Assessment

A structured form used to gather information about a participant’s needs, preferences, and abilities. Stored within the participant’s record in Forms for review and updating.


Attachments

Files (e.g., PDFs, Word docs, images) uploaded to a service user’s profile, such as care plans, ID copies, or medical letters.


Authorizations

Configure and track participants’ authorizations for billing.


Availity

A clearing house for billing reimbursement. StoriiCare pays for a subscription to Availity for any clients interested in using their service.


Bookmarks

Add your social media or other important links to the Dashboard for all staff to access.


Calendar

A place to view activity schedules and take activity attendance. Task Calendars can be viewed as well.


Care Plan*

A personalized plan outlining an individual’s care needs, goals, and agreed interventions. Linked to Tasks and Outcomes.


CareCircle

A secure, private group of family members, friends, and professionals linked to a resident’s profile. CareCircles allow for communication, photo sharing, and updates.


Center Settings*

This is where Admin staff can find a suite of account settings.


Community Announcements

A noticeboard for Connections. Share news, updates, policy changes, etc. with all participant Connections. These are shared via email and within the Storii Family App.


Completed Activities

A filterable and exportable list of all Calendar activities completed on StoriiCare.


Connection

A family member, caregiver, or friend that has been invited to be a part of a participant’s CareCircle on StoriiCare.


Contacts

A place to store contact details as it pertains to the organization, participants, or staff. Contacts can be linked to participants for easy searching.


CRM

A dedicated Client Relationship Management tool that all StoriiCare clients can request access and training for. Our CRM allows clients to port leads directly into their StoriiCare account.


Dashboard

The home screen giving an overview of today’s activities, tasks, recent activity, and quick links to features.


Digital Signage

A dedicated link to share your calendar(s) and photos digitally on a TV or computer monitor in the facility. An Amazon Firestick is required.


Documents

Digital files stored in the platform for easy access, such as policies, forms, and care documentation.


Exports

Generated reports of data in the system, usually available in both CSV and PDF formats.


Face Sheet*

A quick-view summary page showing a participant’s key information — contact details, emergency contacts, medical conditions, allergies, and other essential notes.


Feature

One of StoriiCare’s key components/tools, accessible from the Dashboard and participant Profile.


Feature Request

StoriiCare allows clients to make requests for updates and improvements via Feature Requests in the Support section of our platform.


Forms

Digital versions of paper forms used for assessments, intake forms, and other records.


Group Portal

A dedicated site for enterprise clients with multiple service locations. The Group Portal enables those clients to manage staff access to multiple locations and view analytics and trends across their different sites.


Groups

A way to organize participants and staff. Users can filter by groups across the platform and visually see Groups from the Participant and Staff tabs.


Handover

A filterable log of recent actions.


Incidents/Accidents

A dedicated feature for reporting on incidents and accidents that happen.


Integration

StoriiCare doesn’t have an open API, but may configure custom integrations with other platforms for an additional fee, upon request. Contact support@storii.com for more details.


Knowledge Base

Also known as Help Articles - this area, accessible from the Support page of StoriiCare, is a searchable database of articles to assist with platform knowledge and troubleshooting.


Life Story

A dedicated place where participants, with or without the help of caregivers, can record and store their memories and life stories.


Lists

Customizable sets of items, such as shopping lists, maintenance checklists, or activity supply lists.


Media

Available for the care organization (from the Dashboard) and the participant (from the participant profile) to store photo and video albums.


Medical Info

A section of the participant profile which contains information about their medications and medical conditions.


Messages

Internal communication between staff members or with CareCircle Connections via the platform’s secure messaging tool.


Outcomes*

Tracking and reviewing goals and milestones for a participant. Linked to Care Plans.


Participation

A tab on the participant profile which displays all monthly breakdown of activity participation. This is can also be made available to Connections.


Permission Level

Settings that determine what each user can see or do in the platform.


Places

A tab on the participant profile which is integrated with Google Street View. This can be used for activities involving exploring and traveling or for saving locations that are significant to a participant.


Playlists

A tab on the participant profile which is integrated with YouTube for creating custom playlists of music and videos.


Profile

A participant’s main record containing personal, medical, and care-related information, plus linked documents, notes, and contacts.


Progress Notes*

Written entries about a participant or event — can be tagged for easy searching.


Recent Actions

A chronological list of all updates, notes, and interactions within the platform.


Register

A digital attendance system for tracking who is present, who has left, and when.


Schedule

View and add planned attendance, staff rota, and transportation schedules.


Services

Create and edit billable services for use in StoriiCare’s billing reports and invoice generation.


Sign-In / Sign-Out

Logging a participant, staff member, or visitor’s arrival and departure in the Register.


Staff Analytics

Management tool to see the number of actions made, tasks assigned, and session time per staff member.


Staff Noticeboard

A place to circulate notices with staff, see who has read each notice, and when.


Staff Records

A quick-view summary page showing a staff member’s key information.


Staff Roles

Where you can manage staff Job Titles and Permission Levels.


Storii Family

The name of the app Connections use to receive updates about activity attendance, community announcements, photos, etc.


Super User

A top-level administrator profile with exclusive access to certain system settings.


Support

A dedicated area on StoriiCare for accessing support options: Live Chat, Help Articles, AI Agent, etc.


Tags

Customizable keywords or labels added to entries for easier searching and reporting.


Tasks

Individual actions pertaining to participants, groups, or the organization, assigned to staff members.


This is Me

A customizable feature to record information about a participant’s preferences, hobbies, and life history.


Timeline

A date-ordered display of all activity for a specific participant.


Trends

Map key data points regarding participants and StoriiCare usage.


Upcoming Events

A list of upcoming events scheduled in the Calendar.


Visit Notes*

A notes feature with dedicated and customizable categories for third-party practitioners.


Vital Signs*

A section to record measurements and observations for participants.


Workflows

Create email notifications for certain actions on StoriiCare.
