How to Create a New Calendar

Edited

Calendars in StoriiCare can be customised to suit different types of programming and configured to control what participants and family members can see on the Storii Family App. This guide walks you through how to create one.

How to Create a New Calendar

  • Open the Calendar feature

  • Click the settings wheel icon to access Calendar Settings

  • On the Calendar Configuration tab, click the + button

  • Give the Calendar a Name

Selecting a Calendar Type

Choose the type that best suits how the calendar will be used:

  • Event — Does not support attendance tracking. Suited for appointments, themed days, or informational entries

  • Activity — Supports attendance tracking for scheduled activities

Setting Permissions

The Permission setting controls what participants and family members can see in the Calendar tab on the Storii Family App. This gives you control over which calendars are visible to Connections.

  • Not Shared with Connections — Events are visible to staff only. Family Connections and participants will not see them on the Storii Family App

  • Shared with Connections — All events on this calendar are visible to the participant and any linked Family Connections

  • Shared with Connections if Participant is Invited — Events are only visible to Family Connections for participants who have been assigned to that specific event

  • Shared with Connections if Participant is Assigned or No Participant is Assigned — Events are visible to Family Connections if their loved one is assigned to the event, or if no participants have been pre-selected at all

Saving Your Calendar

  • Once configured, click the green disc icon to save your new Calendar

Your Calendar will now be accessible from the Calendar dropdown menu, and you can begin scheduling activities and events to it.
